Handpicked by Gilles Peterson from Manchester’s vibrant live music community, Secret Night Gang was founded by singer-songwriter Kemani Anderson, multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Callum Connell, and Manchester music scene stalwart Stuart Whitehead. Encouraged by music teacher Tom Burford, aka Rhythm Section’s Contours, they began attending jam nights such as Jam Street and Matt and Phreds before expanding to include drummer and guitarist Myke Wilson and Jack Duckham.

The multi-generational band brings exceptional songwriting and musicianship to a fresh take on classic British street-soul, pairing positive energy with tight arrangements and far-reaching musical ambition.
