About this release
Jonne Lydén, aka 53X, brings hardware-led acid, dub and slower trance rhythms to [Emotional] Especial. Raised in southern Finland, he began as a hardcore punk singer before turning to synths and drum machines, releasing earlier techno work as J. Lydén. Live jamming shapes these four tracks: Solitude opens with a heavy four-to-the-floor kick and throbbing 303, while Zen ’23 introduces breakbeats and siren-like phrases. Crow Dub works through synthetic modulation and dub atmosphere before Eagle Flight eases the pressure with a calmer, flute-led close. The EP follows Lydén's movement from forceful techno towards more spacious psychedelic arrangements.
