About this release
Evergreen brings Crackazat’s songwriting and vocals into the foreground, combining his house productions with live instrumentation and jazz-influenced arrangements. Ben Jacobs writes and produces the album, handling vocals and most instruments, with Chip Wickham adding saxophones and flute and Greg Paulus contributing trumpet. The songs explore adversity and gratitude, balancing rhythmic momentum with a more personal vocal approach. Beacon Of Light, Simple Things and True Power sit within a twelve-track sequence that also includes the short Cadencia interlude. Mastered by Atjazz, the Freerange album returns here on double vinyl, connecting Crackazat’s club background with a broader ensemble sound.
