About this release
Pints Of Ambient Nectar finds Dawn Again’s Nick Verwey extending his pubwave sound into a more spacious set of pieces for Hell Yeah Recordings. New work sits alongside ambient versions of material from Every Dog’s Hotel and Lost In The Front Bar, with the emphasis on atmosphere and gently shifting textures. Bird calls and synth tones introduce the album, while soft chords, hints of acid and sustained drones carry its unhurried movement. The Melbourne producer keeps the nostalgic warmth of his earlier records but gives the sounds more room to linger. Across the sequence, melodic fragments unfold gradually rather than following the push of a club arrangement.
