About this release
Silver is the debut album from Irrflug, the Berlin-based project led by Mark Kanak. Working as a changing group rather than a fixed band, the ensemble brings Kanak’s sound design, electronics, noise and texts together with voices from Ian King, BoBo and Ella Sturmvogel. Blixa Bargeld appears on ‘Pulse’ and ‘She lights the earth with her silver’, recorded for the Lügendetektor sessions in Berlin. Texts by W. B. Yeats and Ovid also enter the work, linking the electronic arrangements with literary material. Ilari Larjasto mastered the album, with Stefan Mitterer cutting it at Manmade Mastering.
