About this release
Joaquin Joe Claussell reworks Ismael Miranda's Me Voy Ahora in two versions that expand its bolero setting into a fuller club arrangement. The Boriqua Version develops the song through percussion, trumpet, piano and strings, while the Latin 12-inch Dub gives the rhythm and spatial detail more room. Claussell produces, arranges and mixes the recordings, with trumpet from Mike Rodriguez, percussion from Jose Cochise Claussell and keyboards from Bennett Paster. The versions connect with his Hammock House - Africa Caribe project, drawing Miranda's vocal into a sound that moves between Latin song and deep house. This Fania reissue is presented on purple vinyl.
