About this release
Johnny Sais Quoi’s first Music From Memory release brings Italo-pop and new wave into a seven-track collection shaped by change, departure and finding a home. Synthesiser lines, drum machines, picked guitar and processed vocals give No Guilty Pleasures its opening palette, while the title track builds around a driving synth bass and arpeggios. The record moves beyond its dancefloor focus towards the more subdued closing pieces Ref23 and Let’s Find A Home. Across both sides, direct pop hooks sit alongside a reflective mood, with the complete programme presented on a single vinyl LP.
