About this release
Lonely Deckchair’s self-titled debut draws on Andrew Wright’s return to Aguadulce on Spain’s southern coast, revisiting childhood summers through music dedicated to his children. Reversed guitar phrases, soft synths and field recordings connect ambient passages with Balearic rhythms, giving the album a sense of movement between memory and place. Rayman’s Kingdom opens the record, with Aguadulce, Warren’s Apology and Carr’s Dub following before the second side moves towards Alhambra Space Station. Wright wrote and produced the music, with mastering by Robin Junga and sleeve notes by Robert Harris, also known as Dr Rob. The vinyl edition selects eight tracks from the project.
