About this release
David and Stephen Dewaele build a rock album from electronic instruments on All Systems Are Lying. Modular synthesisers, live drums, tape machines and processed vocals take the place of electric guitars, connecting Soulwax’s band identity with the electronic approach behind their DEEWEE label. Written and produced by the brothers, the album considers a world where filters, algorithms and noise distort what people take to be true. Run Free and the title track sit within a 14-track sequence that also includes Gimme A Reason, Idiots In Love and Distant Symphony. This DEEWEE / Because Music edition presents the album on two black vinyl records in a gatefold sleeve.
