About this release
Luke Una's É Soul Cultura imprint pairs Zed Bias and MJK for a release that connects UK bass music with techno and house. On Keep On Livin', the two producers combine driving percussion, bass and keys with fragments of old soul, giving the track a hypnotic pull and a Detroit-leaning edge. MJK takes the other side alone, shaping Late To Camberwell around shakers, drum hits and swirling synth loops. The contrast is between the collaborative cut's bass-heavy pressure and the solo track's deeper, rolling movement, with both built around tightly layered rhythm.
