About this release
Andrei Nikolsky’s Flight Of Fancy approaches the 7-inch as a miniature library-music sequence, moving from action to reflection across three pieces. The title track takes the A-side, opening with a dramatic introduction before moving into fast-paced jazz-funk. The reverse slows the mood: Fathoms Deep offers a more pensive setting, while Flip Ya For Real closes on a mournful note. Written, produced and mixed by Nikolsky for Palace Records, the release draws on the compact storytelling of soundtrack cues, giving each piece a distinct role within the sequence.
