About this release
Fantastic Twins reimagines Chris Isaak’s ‘Wicked Game’ across six versions on Emotional Response. Julienne Dessagne’s project connects cinematic electronics, experimental pop and emotionally charged sound design, developing a piece first composed for a live performance at the 2024 architecture biennale in Timișoara.
Four versions by Dessagne range from the sweeping ‘Trinity Version’ to the industrial textures of ‘Thousand Suns’, the fractured ambience of ‘Atomic Love’ and the drifting ‘Core Version’. Aho Ssan reworks the latter, while Jonnie Wilkes supplies the electro-driven Optimo (Espacio) remix. Re-recorded and remastered for this 12" edition.
