About this release
Luca Piermattei returns to focused studio work on Natural Recordings Vol. 2, the eighth release from Polarity Records. Following a period of experimenting with live performance, new technology and changing setups, he brings those experiences into a four-track record built around musicality, dynamics and emotional depth.
'Beautiful Emotions' and 'Catch Me' combine sentimental synth leads with elastic machine rhythms. 'Open Your Eyes' brings a rougher edge, setting acid lines against repeating vocal fragments, before 'Test Of Life' completes the record. The emphasis on harmonies and changing rhythmic weight connects the studio recordings to Piermattei's recent work with live performance.
