About this release
Mason revives his Nite Rite series on Animal Language with a set that moves between disco house, electroclash and heavier electronic club sounds. Alpha opens with a thick house groove before Beta brings C Cane’s vocals into an electro-funk arrangement of restless cowbells and twisted riffs. Gamma features Finchy and takes a darker, more off-centre route through house rhythms. Delta closes with distorted electronics and acid-flecked electro, drawing on the series’ interest in shifting styles. Across the record, Mason connects the French Touch side of his production with more abrasive textures.
