About this release
Pleasurewood’s second album, Electric Telepathy, joins psychedelic funk, library music and vintage Hindi-cinema influences. Paul Elliott and Dan Smith’s Farfalla Records release moves through eleven tracks of percussion, classical modes, cosmic synths and funk grooves.
‘The Hoverfly’, ‘RAMMM’ and ‘Chump Change’ explore the band’s cinematic side, while ‘Good Falcon’ slows the pace and ‘Last Dance Saloon’ brings a disco pulse. ‘Mojave Desert’ adds lo-fi textures and Farfisa organ to the mix. Recorded at the Wet Room and Studio Gimlet in Suffolk, the album was mastered by Andrea De Bernardi. Its closing track, “It’s So Easy”, is a Guns N’ Roses and West Arkeen composition. This edition is pressed on coloured vinyl.
