About this release
Rick Holmes places spoken-word reflections over a spacious soul backing on ‘Remember To Remember’. His warm delivery links the words and achievements of influential Black musicians and cultural figures, building a meditation on knowledge, compassion and collective memory. The unhurried arrangement leaves room for the monologue, with the rhythm and instrumental textures carrying its steady momentum. ‘To The Unknowledgeable One’ continues the approach on the reverse, pairing another extended spoken performance with a smooth accompaniment. This blue-vinyl Gold Mink Records edition is remastered and licensed from Uno Melodic Records through Expansion Records.
