About this release
Shakedown's At Night returns to Defected with five versions built around Terra Deva's vocal. Purple Disco Machine gives the track a disco-house treatment, while Peggy Gou's Acid Journey Remix introduces squelching 303 lines and a more stripped, hypnotic rhythm. Kid Crème's Club Mix takes a direct club approach, followed by the original and an acappella that isolates the vocal. The selection places the different productions side by side, showing how the same hook moves between disco-influenced house and acid textures. This twelve-inch contains the Purple Disco Machine extended remix alongside the other four cuts.
