About this release
The Perfect Prescription finds Spacemen 3 opening up the dense guitar attack of their debut into a more spacious, carefully paced sound. Released in 1987, the band's second album moves through restless rock, fragile melodies and extended psychedelic passages, with Pete Kember and Jason Pierce finding expressive power in repetition and restraint.
Take Me To The Other Side and Walkin' With Jesus sit alongside the drifting Transparent Radiation (Flashback), while Come Down Easy and Call The Doctor bring the record towards a quieter close. This Fire Records vinyl reissue restores the original gold sleeve design and presents the nine-track album.
