About this release
Hearlucinate opens up Scott Featherstone's DAT archive for Tapes, Dats & Dust, a nine-track collection of recordings made under his Triform alias. Selected by Tristan da Cunha, these analogue hardware productions bring together the weight of club drums, the tension of acid lines and a warm melodic feel across two records.
Harmony introduces a darker mood before the forceful drums of What Is This take over. Basic House Rocker leans into restless acid electronics, while Chimes balances swinging kicks with soulful melodic touches. With War Paint, Countdown, Little Devil, Bring It and Future Shock completing the set, the collection gives a broad view of Featherstone's approach to house music and the character of his machines.
