About this release
Takashi Shima’s Sun Tan Club For ‘Light Tanning’ returns as the first release on Hawara International, the Edition Hawara sublabel. Made by the Piper musician as a soundtrack to summer leisure, the album moves between ambient music, new age and relaxed fusion.
‘Wilful Lady’, ‘One Day In Summer’ and ‘Afternoon Dreamin’’ lead the first side, followed by ‘Harbour Line’, ‘Glory’ and ‘Illumination’. The six-track LP captures a distinctive corner of late-1980s Japanese lifestyle music, now reissued for a new audience.
