About this release
Doug Gomez continues his Signals series with four tracks on Merecumbe Recordings. Signals 5 connects deep house with cumbia, jazz and Afro-Latin rhythms on a 12-inch built around his percussion-led sound.
Jackson Heights opens with the Deep Cumbia Mix, followed by Clinton Hill’s Gates Ave Mix. On the reverse, Ahi’s Nuevo Sabor Mix brings electric guitar and saxophone, while Suave closes with a chunky Afro-Latin groove.
