About this release
Jay Tripwire’s Irene pairs a dub-influenced house original with a remix by Thomas Melchior on Soundrive. Smooth drums, delicate pads and drifting, wordless vocals give Tripwire’s A-side a spacious, unhurried feel.
Melchior keeps that depth on the reverse while adding a firmer rhythmic drive. The two versions share this 12-inch, moving between atmospheric house and the detailed groove of minimal and tech house.
