About this release
Tom Esselle's Evolutions & Revolutions brings four house tracks to Rhythm Section International, drawing on his place in South London's Wholemeal and YAM Records communities. The EP moves from 'Baddies' and 'Plaything' on side A to 'One Of These Days' and 'Harmonise' on the reverse. Its production combines warm synth textures, Latin percussion and prominent basslines, with the tougher approach of 'Plaything' balanced by the lighter feel of 'One Of These Days', which features a keyboard solo from Dave Koor. The standard edition is pressed on 140g black 12-inch vinyl and housed in a reverse-board sleeve.
