Tron Revolta - Volume 2
LABEL: Tron RevoltaLast year, long-serving New Jersey producer Harry "Choo Choo" Romero marked his 31st year as a releasing artist by donning a new alias, Tron Revolta, and delivering a must-have collection of unofficial reworks, re-edits and remixes. Volume two boasts four more hot-to-trot treats.
The former Subliminal regular begins by blending elements of several familiar favourites on the chunky and chiming 'Burn Your Worries', before opting for a darker, slower take on garage-house via 'Bang Your Mine' (which does, of course, reference the similarly titled Bang The Party classic from 1989). Underground Solution's glassy-eyed NYC classic 'Luv Dancin' gets a gospel-tinged makeover to open side B, while 'Witness' is a dusty, percussion-laden, bluesy house roller.
