About this release
Lord Echo revisits The Sweetest Meditation, his collaboration with Mara TK from the album Harmonies, across four vinyl versions. His Club Mix and the Original Mix share the first side, keeping the song’s voice and jazz-flecked arrangement at the centre. Longtime collaborator Julien Dyne takes the remix on the reverse, alongside The Sweetest Dub, which draws on an early version for a Black Ark-inspired disco-dub treatment. Vibraphone, bass and vocal melody connect the different approaches, with each mix giving the recording a different balance of song and rhythm. Soundway presents the original mix at 45 RPM for this release.
