About this release
Rio ensemble Pra Gira Girar celebrate Os Tincoãs through the Bahian trio’s intricate vocal arrangements. The project grew from Alvaro Lancellotti’s wish to create a live tribute, with Michele Leal, Alan de Deus and Pedro Costa forming the core group during a year of rehearsals.
The album opens with ‘Atabaque Chora’, written by Dadinho and Mateus Aleluia, and brings piano, guitar, bass, percussion and trumpet to these layered vocal performances. Released on Amor In Sound.
