About this release
Nina Simone's I Put A Spell On You places her unmistakable voice at the centre of a varied set of songs. Released in 1965, the album includes the dramatic title track, Feeling Good and Ne Me Quitte Pas, moving between jazz, soul and expressive vocal interpretation.
Tomorrow Is My Turn, July Tree and You've Got To Learn reveal different sides of Simone's phrasing, with piano and orchestral arrangements shaping the changing moods. This Philips edition presents the twelve-track album on 180g vinyl, an enduring showcase for the range of her singing.
