About this release
Panorama gathers eleven French soundtrack and instrumental recordings made between 1969 and 1980. Transversales Disques places composers including Francis Lai, Alain Goraguer and Michel Magne alongside Jean Schwarz, Christian Gaubert and Maurice Lecoeur, tracing a shared language of strings, rhythmic basslines and funk-inflected drum breaks. The selection moves through cinematic moods and psychedelic textures, from ‘The Organization’ to ‘La vie sentimentale’. Remastered from original master tapes, the compilation brings together material that had often remained outside reissue programmes. The LP is presented in a deluxe tip-on jacket with extensive liner notes.
