Baby, We’re Ascending moves from forceful drums and warped vocal fragments to broad synthesiser passages, with contributions from Jon Hopkins, Alexis Taylor, Obi Franky and Kai-Isaiah Jamal. ‘Human Sound’ pairs Jamal and Franky, while Taylor appears on ‘Biggest Mood Ever’; the sequence closes with the title track, ‘Orca’ and ‘Tardigrade’. Released by Mute, it captures the collaborative side of HAAi’s work across four vinyl sides. This LSTUMM475 edition is the limited double splatter pressing, housed in a gatefold sleeve.
