Four Tet returns to his symbol-based alias, often called Wingdings, for TEXT059 on his own Text Records label. Across eight tracks, Kieran Hebden moves between intricate electronic textures and club rhythms, drawing together deep house, garage and dubstep influences. Gentle instrumental passages give way to heavier bass and percussion, with chiming details threading through the record.

The second side continues that contrast, moving between dancefloor grooves and slower, spacious pieces. Two tracks had previously appeared digitally, joining six others on this vinyl LP. It's a release for listeners drawn to the exploratory side of Four Tet, where melodic detail and unexpected rhythmic turns carry the music.
