About this release
Wah Wah 45s revisits Dele Sosimi's You No Fit Touch Am with two remixes that connect the original Afrobeat recordings to contemporary club rhythms. London producer brekkyt gives the title track a bruk-influenced treatment, putting bass movement and broken drums at the centre. On the reverse, Portuguese producer Meith takes Sanctuary towards Afro-tech, maintaining a continuous groove around Sosimi's live-band material. The two versions extend the album's history of reinterpretations while drawing out different rhythmic details. This twelve-inch presents both mixes on black vinyl with hand-stamped white labels.
