About this release
Nia Archives brings intimate songwriting to the rush of jungle on Emotional Junglist. Breakbeats and bass underpin songs about love, attachment and heartbreak, giving the album the energy of a club record with a more personal thread running through it.
The fifteen-track LP includes Get Me Down with Jorja Smith and Tender with Sampha, alongside Feelingz Go Numb, Dance With Me 2nite and Boys In Blue. Developed with James Ford, Ethan P. Flynn and Julia Michaels, the songs also draw on indie pop and nineties electronica. Released on Island, it follows Silence Is Loud and continues Nia's blend of jungle production, melodic vocals and soul.
