About this release
Dialog launch DOT with a four-track EP featuring Jamaican vocalist Benji, also known as Daveron Dawkins. Samuel van Dijk and Rasmus Hedlund combine detailed electronic production with the direct vocal presence of a traditional sound system session.
Built around self-made instruments and analogue synthesis, the record also draws on guitars, bass, drums, congas, organ and treated field recordings. Benji’s reflections connect the duo’s spacious dub techno to the language and culture of roots reggae.
