About this release
Omasta follows Jazz Report From The Hood with Hits Different, a second album on Astigmatic Records. The group develops its meeting of contemporary jazz, hip-hop rhythms and jazz-funk into an eleven-track record with a more cinematic, narrative approach.
Recorded at Studio Dwa Domy in March 2026, the album combines Wojciech Roman’s bass, Bruno Sikorki’s piano, Rhodes and synths, Antoni Blumhoff’s saxophone, flute and Aerophone, Paweł Kowalik’s trumpet and Nikodem Wikieł’s drums. Electronics and carefully shaped compositions extend the band’s improvisational language. Wojtek Perczyński recorded, mixed and mastered the sessions. The LP includes a 60 × 30 cm poster.
