About this release
Alex Puddu follows I Desideri Di Sadie (Piaceri Tropicali) with Amazzonia, a ten-track album on Al Dente. Its imaginary journey through Central America, the Caribbean and South America brings together Latin-funk rhythms, reggae, disco and soundtrack textures.
Written, arranged, produced and recorded by Puddu, the album features bassists Domenico Andria and Daniele Labbate alongside contributions from Imelda, Adrian Wilding, Hendrik Jørgensen and Jesper Løvdal. Ritmo Caliente, Puerto Rico Disco and Gimme Dub set out its warm, rhythm-focused approach.
