About this release
Emotional Rescue invites Full Circle, Froid Dub, Krikor and Shelter to rework the music of French experimental group Vox Populi! from the original master tapes. Full Circle's Soleymani Dub takes a slow, mantra-like approach, while Froid Dub brings shuffling digital rhythms and echoing vocals to Jube Man. Krikor turns Zen-Dub into a driving steppers cut; Shelter strips Micro Climax back to its effects, adding live bass and percussion. Drawn from music previously reissued by Emotional Rescue and Platform 23, the four remixes connect Vox Populi!'s industrial and dub experiments with contemporary electronic production.
