About this release
Death Is Not The End bring 2nd Family's Killaz from the Blackside to vinyl for the first time. Recorded in 1996 and originally released on tape in February 1997, the album documents a sparse, brooding corner of the Memphis rap underground.
King JC recorded Pistol Grip and Killa Chrome in a home studio at Southern Hills Apartments in Whitehaven, South Memphis. The stripped-back production leaves room for their tense, introspective delivery across nine tracks. This edition is limited to 300 copies, preserving the atmosphere of the original cassette recording.
