About this release
Mark Churcher, recording as A-Eno-Acid, releases his debut album The Last Jack on Chicago Bee. Drawing on late-1980s warehouse parties and pirate radio, the record builds its sound around 808 drums, twisting 303 patterns and hypnotic house grooves.
Twelve tracks span four sides, moving from the title track and ‘America Wake Up’ through ‘Hard Drive’, ‘Fallout’ and ‘Short Circuit Control’. Following the label’s Home Listening Acid and House compilations, this double LP gives Churcher space to develop his raw, vintage-inspired approach across a full-length release.
