Abul Mogard - Quiet Pieces

Abul Mogard opens his Soft Echoes label with Quiet Pieces, a collection of five expansive ambient compositions. Unfinished archive recordings meet fragments sampled from old classical and opera 78s, slowed and processed until their original forms become difficult to recognise.

Following A Dream and Constantly Slipping Away introduce a sound that moves between soft detail and heavier distortion. In A Studded Procession, Through Whispers and Like A Bird continue that changing balance of stillness and intensity. This vinyl repress presents the album as a contemplative listening experience.
