About this release
Archie Hamilton returns to the underground side of tech house on Friends In Low Places, the fourth release from Risk/Reward. Three originals combine swinging drums, rolling bass and acid lines, with Gideon Jackson adding a heavier Bump Mix on the reverse.
‘NyLon’ pairs dreamy synth melodies with rugged UK grooves, while ‘No Signal’ turns up the pressure with 303 bass and gritty percussion. ‘Higher’ settles into another melodic roller before Jackson’s remix reshapes the track with extra weight. A four-track twelve-inch built around detail, movement and low-end force.
