About this release
Aroop Roy's Bad Dub reshapes an electronic-pop recording from its original stems, building the arrangement around a patient disco-house groove. Organ parts are brought forward before the track opens into horns and a vocal release, with the timing of those changes central to the edit. Badstrumental keeps the same dramatic movement while removing the lead vocal, giving the instrumental details more room. The alternate mix takes another approach, holding the voice back until the final stretch. Together, the three versions offer distinct ways through the same material, from the full vocal build to its more restrained variations.
