About this release
DJ Weapons Special Edition Part 2 brings together six Aroop Roy reworks and edits, separately mastered for vinyl by Dustin Alexander. The selection connects disco and house with hip-hop and R&B source material, moving through shuffling grooves, instrumental funk and more vocal-led arrangements. Rain receives a mid-tempo house treatment, while Phoenix appears in a newly mixed and mastered 2026 version. Rather than relying on a single tempo or approach, the set draws different rhythmic ideas into Roy's edit style. This mini-album presents the full six-track programme, including Shimmy Shimmy House, Get Some and Calabao.
