About this release
Released in Nottingham at the turn of the millennium, Lounging sits between trip-hop's slowed breaks and deep house's low-end drive.
Loose but controlled drums, swung rhythms, warm basslines and restrained chords run through vocal cuts with Gea Russell and Isi Samuel, plus instrumental pieces built on short sampled phrases and repeating hooks. A low-key classic, remastered for this anniversary edition.
