About this release
Ben Stokes returns to his Dimensional Holofonic Sound project for this Tino Corp edition of Holofonic Cuts. From Outerspace occupies the A-side in a remastered version, developing its hypnotic drum loop over an extended arrangement of shifting samples, unusual electronic sounds and restless bass. The B-side pairs DHS Theme 2014 with Voodoo Breaks, continuing the record's combination of breakbeat rhythm, acid detail and sample manipulation. Rather than relying on a quick succession of hooks, the music lets small changes in texture and emphasis build its momentum. The three-track programme highlights the exploratory, rhythm-focused side of Stokes' DHS work.
