About this release
Motech 179 EP brings together originals from DJ 3000 and Gerome Sportelli with remixes by Robert Hood and Truncate. The four-track 12-inch keeps its foundations in Detroit techno, combining lean arrangements with direct dancefloor pressure.
Robert Hood rebuilds ‘Hotel Oasiz’ around chopped vocals and a relentless bassline, followed by the synth stabs and funk of ‘Eastern Market’. Truncate brings jackin’ drums and sub-heavy weight to ‘Take Me’, before Gerome Sportelli closes with the rolling 303 lines of ‘No Slide’.
