About this release
Generational Flips pairs DJ Homicide_ and Big Syphe across a seven-inch on CA. DJ Homicide_ opens with Se Acado Flip, layering Spanish vocals and prominent horns over heavy beats. Big Syphe’s Our Generation Flip takes the reverse into a lower-slung arrangement, bringing soul textures to a dusty hip-hop foundation. The contrast gives each producer a distinct side of the record, moving from the brighter vocal-and-horn emphasis of the opener to the more relaxed feel of the flip. Both cuts draw on the producers’ approach to reshaping source material around a new rhythmic setting.
