About this release
Don’t Forget To Have Fun grew from sessions Don Glori revisited after moving from Naarm to London, reshaping the recordings with a more playful approach to production. The producer and multi-instrumentalist, also known as Gordon Li, moves between jazz, funk, soul, R&B and samba across seven pieces. “Pause” opens with a circling, psychedelic groove, “Emerald” draws on jazz-rock textures and tight horn arrangements, and “All Seeds” brings samba and street-soul influences together. “First Touch” introduces a slower boogie feel before the three-part “Theme For A Dream” completes the album as a continuous closing journey. DeepMatter presents the full programme on vinyl.
