Dr Dunks feat. Zopelar - Plateau Alone EP

Eric Duncan returns as Dr Dunks for Plateau Alone, a three-track 12-inch on The Quiet Village featuring Brazilian producer Zopelar. Duncan’s background in Rub-N-Tug and Still Going meets Zopelar’s jazz, soul and house influences, with plenty of room for both players’ ideas.

The title track runs on syncopated electro synths and an ’80s-style funk groove. ‘Slow One Eleven’ eases the pace, bringing percussion, strings and touches of rock into the mix, before ‘88 Lights’ settles into low bass, dub chords and stranger textures. Balearic in its range, with enough weight to carry from home listening into a patient dancefloor set.
