About this release
Aquáticos pairs guitarist Fabiano Do Nascimento with Los Angeles producer Eddie Ruscha, recording as E Ruscha V. Nascimento’s seven- and ten-string nylon guitars meet modular synthesisers, drum machines and vintage keyboards, connecting Afro-samba and choro influences with Ruscha’s rhythmic electronic textures. Conceived through sessions in the early 2020s, the album grew from the intuitive exchange captured on opening track Nascer. Each subsequent session extended that approach, building a nine-track sequence centred on melodic interplay and changing rhythmic patterns. Released by Music From Memory, the album features sleeve art and design by Michael Willis.
