About this release
Fold’s Lotion EP on FLDIN2 draws on producer Rob’s early experience of London pirate radio and record collecting. The two-track release puts clipped vocal fragments and shifting bass beneath stripped-back UK garage rhythms.
Lotion keeps the arrangement spare, with crisp percussion and a restless low end. Soft Launch opens out into a fuller groove, using yearning vocal stabs to bring a warmer, more emotional feel to the B-side.
